<br />
Guess What!!!! Christmas is nearly here....as if I had to tell you that.<br />
<br />
I got a lovely package of Goodies from Suzanne at Words or Whatever a week or two back and finally I have had time to complete a couple of creations with it.<br />
<br />
Why not pop on over to the WOW blog site regularly this month and get some inspiration for your Christmas Goodies.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here is Johnny, playing Santa last year for my work colleagues, he really acted out the character of an Aussie Santa well, including the rubber thongs. I have used the "Gift Wrapping Page Border", and the "Stuffed!" title.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGBrjtQURSNwGSb47tku11qqnZb4nkBj49IQjrQCx-rIo0PaPSWWkmr3yZXObSVDXc2RwR_N15ey8euQgUWvT9YgLWy0EP9JicQ8BhLcEg2dsqolMYRkX7hv1v3dt0gPPBm5mNkMB33_A/s1600/a+a+bit+if+everything+029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGBrjtQURSNwGSb47tku11qqnZb4nkBj49IQjrQCx-rIo0PaPSWWkmr3yZXObSVDXc2RwR_N15ey8euQgUWvT9YgLWy0EP9JicQ8BhLcEg2dsqolMYRkX7hv1v3dt0gPPBm5mNkMB33_A/s320/a+a+bit+if+everything+029.JPG" width="302" /></a></div>
I painted and inked the page border, then used clear embossing powder to geive texture to the holly leaves, and white embossing enamel to give the effect of a double layered ribbon.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivs5Bjvr4zU77ZPLkePxIIh-3Jxj5vbYDIo3rACUSL37i3c7RDm8Fx0dDFguYbuwTkwE13-gmMFnXvr5tLB-vcc1LuEUnc8ocwRR1WVo9Qj31AFLFquRaTRot3zRIU0io4JPaTEF8brts/s1600/a+a+bit+if+everything+028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivs5Bjvr4zU77ZPLkePxIIh-3Jxj5vbYDIo3rACUSL37i3c7RDm8Fx0dDFguYbuwTkwE13-gmMFnXvr5tLB-vcc1LuEUnc8ocwRR1WVo9Qj31AFLFquRaTRot3zRIU0io4JPaTEF8brts/s320/a+a+bit+if+everything+028.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
For the title, I inked it in white, then stickled it with 'icicle' stickles.<br />

I asked Suzanne from <a href="http://www.wordsorwhatever.com.au/index.php">WOW</a> if she could make me an album based on a monster truck, as I have a couple of little friends who LOVE monster trucks. I had fun with this album as you can see.<br />
<br />
I firstly gave the tyres a 3D look using texture paste, and created a shaker box where the wheels go<br />
<br />
Next, I painted and embossed the cab<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh4AKZ0-zPwjLDNpRkadlCxmLntxQOdtoH-S4Jl_UPmz05hW1mOrkrUlo0FcLnFvJYdx8uBH6dAq1Vl9gTu2gG3f4EjGTrnULypYFEc4TUOlpZQSCN7x_jmHiHsLpnuQ1bCTWwd4Zbz2o/s1600/monster+truck+003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><br /></a></div>

David will put in extra battons creating spaces approximately 40cm square, and in will sit these boxes....Oh I also have asked him to make the wall with 4x2" timber, so I have a shelf depth of 4".<br /><br />Here is one of the boxes completed, ready for the wall......<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgfdKnKEA2djA-F0i8JyJWSowhFK-9HTkDr6hNdD5KGq2u-HQFWsaDlQvfv6b3mxsQQ9bAkVTJokPEVeTpX_XzqAnYVbHfNYesFo08rKokkIodfaLB2-FV18JMHpAoXomm0NXJ8eLApBQ/s1600/2011+July+Farm+%2526+John+Birthday+058.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 284px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgfdKnKEA2djA-F0i8JyJWSowhFK-9HTkDr6hNdD5KGq2u-HQFWsaDlQvfv6b3mxsQQ9bAkVTJokPEVeTpX_XzqAnYVbHfNYesFo08rKokkIodfaLB2-FV18JMHpAoXomm0NXJ8eLApBQ/s320/2011+July+Farm+%2526+John+Birthday+058.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5637574508694422050" border="0" /></a><br />I plan to have a variety of techniques on the boxes, but in the same tones of pink, hop on over to the <a href="http://wordsorwhatever.blogspot.com/">Words or Whatever blog</a> for my mini technique blog on altering MDF, using crackle medium and sanding. Yay, the shed is through council, and we have moved some things in. So I temporarily have my own scrap space again. I can leave things out, not finish projects, and have MY style of music playing.<br /><br />Here is the first page I have done in the shed. It is Sammy, and the first fish he ever caught. He was so excited catching this "puffer fish" that I had to take a photo. As my area is only going to be 1.5 meters wide, and at least 1/2 a meter of that will be workbench space, I won't have much room for storage, so I need to become a little savvy.<br /><br />I am very excited about what I am going to do for my paper storage, but you will all have to wait for the big reveal on that one..... Suzanne from <a href="http://www.wordsorwhatever.com.au/">Words or Whatever WOW</a> and I have some "secret squirrel" business happening, WOW is able to custom make chipboard and MDF products, and they are helping me out.<br /><br />But for now...Andrew has helped me recycle an old shadow box to become a storage frame....... What do you think?<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5zNxPLeXxHnPsBmceFyP6l_KI1HLbKC2gNPHxG66LIXGUYrBxN5B4cxij8ahSTUqHLzmM__E4ao0ZWjPd7MvbsleTp224Kxk6dzfRUF757oDkieACHahyphenhyphen8ct7hm90cKkGJoWyZ8KkruQ/s1600/DSCF0030.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 264px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5zNxPLeXxHnPsBmceFyP6l_KI1HLbKC2gNPHxG66LIXGUYrBxN5B4cxij8ahSTUqHLzmM__E4ao0ZWjPd7MvbsleTp224Kxk6dzfRUF757oDkieACHahyphenhyphen8ct7hm90cKkGJoWyZ8KkruQ/s320/DSCF0030.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5622067490333641730" border="0" /></a>Firstly, Andrew made up the shelves for me, and painted the base coat. then we added the frame to the outside, painted it with a variety of acrylics, crackles, and gold leaf rub'n buff, then I decorated it with the flowers and bling etc. Got some shot glasses, and separated my button container into colours, and with a couple of leftover glasses I had some room for brads too. I will have to go and get more shot glasses though.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgByDOoiEvO84Vb02W8Hp6ujlovUMinKRYp9wTavZIAXypfwbVVnJxpeMd-HQBhUuOJy6M1fXV03NhmYY6bbOOSRtCwzCwHMAYMFC3GsAmuRPtZnaFMPBB1cQ6xMPuwC2TBg6Ik8S-g9PM/s1600/DSCF0033.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 197px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgByDOoiEvO84Vb02W8Hp6ujlovUMinKRYp9wTavZIAXypfwbVVnJxpeMd-HQBhUuOJy6M1fXV03NhmYY6bbOOSRtCwzCwHMAYMFC3GsAmuRPtZnaFMPBB1cQ6xMPuwC2TBg6Ik8S-g9PM/s320/DSCF0033.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5622068672778735330" border="0" /></a><br />I am thinking of running a strip of elastic along the underside of the frame and I can then thread ribbon through and have it hanging below the frame. <br /><br />Now all I have to do is find somewhere to store it until I get the shed done...lol<br /><br /><br />Will keep you up to date with my next Savy Space Saving Storage Idea.Kimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-4209539641695268192011-05-25T19:03:00.006+10:002011-05-25T19:29:26.424+10:00Home and Scrapped Cyber CropHi ALL,<br /><br />On the weekend I took part in the Home and Scrapped cyber Crop, I completed 3 challenges, and got a bit of my mojo back in the mean time.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikxBHEyoY5vjMSWY8dJCRBfYypiE1KlBDKzOcobJChGCvCWOEDvHBetr-RKSoV2htIIskpVLnEAymbIwGe2kdLdEK62xopaGqT2OcUetvqnWBsErIqkZX3R95x0wnq4KuVgv2ZsU-1Jno/s1600/CC+May+001.JPG"><img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 317px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikxBHEyoY5vjMSWY8dJCRBfYypiE1KlBDKzOcobJChGCvCWOEDvHBetr-RKSoV2htIIskpVLnEAymbIwGe2kdLdEK62xopaGqT2OcUetvqnWBsErIqkZX3R95x0wnq4KuVgv2ZsU-1Jno/s320/CC+May+001.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5610578539532670994" border="0" /></a><br />This LO was for Angie's Technique Challenge, It was to create a background using odds and sods basically, then glimmer mist stamp etc, to come up with a fun technique. this is a Photo of Suzanne from <a href="http://wordsorwhatever.blogspot.com/">WOW!,</a><a href="http://wordsorwhatever.blogspot.com/"> </a>Leisa from<a href="http://wordsorwhatever.blogspot.com/"> Scrapidaisy</a><br /><a href="http://atclindab.blogspot.com/">Linda Baldock</a> and Myself at the wonderful Retro Retreat.<br /><br />It features the WOW - Friends chippy, and a custom made chippy and some Alchemy flowers.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSIESH3VTsFyiqnLvC2y1W95ge02xZdZjPMd4W8aadHrkyZiACfo3V-QPHmlF7GZhiz63Hxc9Ml4QQHURr2FFBlbGv4UzKfojvnjVdH0q5OaCog3NeB0gB-atIG2VbZ0uUxKpfldeexcI/s1600/CC+May+006.JPG"><img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 318px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjSIESH3VTsFyiqnLvC2y1W95ge02xZdZjPMd4W8aadHrkyZiACfo3V-QPHmlF7GZhiz63Hxc9Ml4QQHURr2FFBlbGv4UzKfojvnjVdH0q5OaCog3NeB0gB-atIG2VbZ0uUxKpfldeexcI/s320/CC+May+006.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5610580543701843426" border="0" /></a><br />Next was a challenge by Kerrie, who wanted to celebrate her birthday with some Patterned paper for the back ground, ribbon, tag, something green and a quote.<br /><br />Once again the Friends chippy word from WOW came straight to mind with this gorgeous flourish<br />which have both been inked and utee'd. It is of my wonderful Stepfather Dennis fishing on stockton beach when he visited one year. The Title and Embellishments are all from WOW which have been simply coloured with inks and textas, then utteed added sparingly to give texture.<br /><br />I just love the little fishing embellishment kit.<br /><br /><br /><br />Thanks for looking everyone....<br /><br />TTFN<br /><br />KimmiKimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-3674512390489939092011-05-14T16:14:00.007+10:002011-05-14T16:37:02.787+10:00Not even dry yet!Hi all,<br />I had a bit of fun playing with yet another canvas this weekend. I am really happy with how they turned out. More surprising to me, was my LO was voted equal 2nd at the end of the retreat. Thanks to everyone who voted for me.<br /><br />Anyone wanting to get some of these WOW products please contact your Local Scrapbook Store. Pearls, bling, charms, lace, flower muslin, and a beautiful border flourish from WOW (Words or Whatever).<br /><br />Firstly I texture painted the old frame (once again an old black one), then painted over that with some Kaiser acrylic. then added European Gold RubnBuff to the edges and high points of the texture. I cut the <a href="http://www.wordsorwhatever.com.au/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=707">Floral Border</a> into 4 peices, and very lightly coated them with texture paint. When dry I hit the chippy with some glimmer mist, and rubbed some distress ink over the high points, then UTEE'd over the hole lot. <a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsX7yLfQl8ipmO1soqNaFe1Awbg9tDvL8DVFzZfmbmAyV-7SUGbXjgC9a7r9LTQBG1HRprpHvqSCbPqB0SIoTaI2GajBpCX0XxFpdbitoHgfUal2cZA-s4uHEvpm7VOJ8EJztZz8ih2Zk/s1600/WOW+008.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsX7yLfQl8ipmO1soqNaFe1Awbg9tDvL8DVFzZfmbmAyV-7SUGbXjgC9a7r9LTQBG1HRprpHvqSCbPqB0SIoTaI2GajBpCX0XxFpdbitoHgfUal2cZA-s4uHEvpm7VOJ8EJztZz8ih2Zk/s200/WOW+008.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575691016316299890" border="0" /></a><br />After putting in one photo, I was not happy with the colours, so I decided on putting this photo of myself and a dear friend at Christmas, as you can tell from the colour of my face, I had a few too many drinks. I then decided to add a few more bits and pieces, Yes maybe there are a few too many elements, but I am happy with the result. Nothing like my original plan but IT WORKED....for me anyway.<br /><br /><br />Lastly here is a LO I completed with the <a href="http://www.wordsorwhatever.com.au/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=779">Vintage Sewing Set</a>, this is such an awesome set,<br />I inked the sewing machine and cotton reel with black ink, and added some gold then UTEE'd. and on the pin cushion I used some Chinese red embossing enamel. I linked these elements with the string, and <a href="http://www.wordsorwhatever.com.au/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=913">Pegs</a> (just lightly coated with white acrylic) to "tie them together" so to speak. <br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAsoWT29BoYkooxM7-c6Nzt_kEAAfs_gOfXXqaq5c_EOZjKy2k03xFk4vfG37WYnrdn3Z5mgoATj-w5dnggkJubU-Xmal22HjmBzg1d2PC_rU1pMNstDH4UtbmFnaYC29UacdbuSQ1fx8/s1600/Saturday+12th+February+036.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 313px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAsoWT29BoYkooxM7-c6Nzt_kEAAfs_gOfXXqaq5c_EOZjKy2k03xFk4vfG37WYnrdn3Z5mgoATj-w5dnggkJubU-Xmal22HjmBzg1d2PC_rU1pMNstDH4UtbmFnaYC29UacdbuSQ1fx8/s320/Saturday+12th+February+036.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575695960781726146" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji9qYB47Nmb3hBSFZeMzdZSF325pG6BGgo4rsYLN6hMaurmxEhBEiHpF3QG4w5Lt-7yjGLAR6n2SIG0_cD3yarGWTXnWa509bNgh4GCAhVhoQ6sAFieDov0BaKXoBu9p3PFfpXBuaklic/s1600/Saturday+12th+February+040.JPG"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEji9qYB47Nmb3hBSFZeMzdZSF325pG6BGgo4rsYLN6hMaurmxEhBEiHpF3QG4w5Lt-7yjGLAR6n2SIG0_cD3yarGWTXnWa509bNgh4GCAhVhoQ6sAFieDov0BaKXoBu9p3PFfpXBuaklic/s320/Saturday+12th+February+040.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5575696400064988498" border="0" /></a><br />The <a href="http://www.wordsorwhatever.com.au/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=784">Modern Dress Form</a> chippy would have to be one of my favourites from <span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);">Words or Whatever</span><br /><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 255);">WOW</span> I have used an opaque white enamel, and gold rub 'n buff. <br /><br />Why not go and have a look at the WOW gallery or at the <a href="http://wordsorwhatever.blogspot.com/">Blog site, </a>you will find lots and lots of inspiration over there. Well those in the scrapping world will have, one of the wonderful companies that create these products is <a href="http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#%21/pages/WORDS-OR-WHATEVER-WOW/109373842440696">Words or Whatever - WOW</a>. I have the great honor of being one of their 2011 Designers. Yes that is right. I have been chosen to be on their design team. WOW!!! I am so excited. I can't wait for my first design pack to arrive. Every 2nd month I will get a pack of the WOW products and create goodies that hopefully will inspire others to have a go with them.<br /><br />As I said in my last post. I had a day (that went well into the night) scrapping with two special friends. They are both just getting started in scrapping, and I was happy to be able to help them with their LO's and I did a bit of my own scrapping along the way.<br /><br />Here's a couple of items that I came up with.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJsxsi_SIhGOqcRL-TYZn-PeOzQjwUcFp9ZlVS5R22TsT6AiJMeF6EOmvR7Ed2stu3_w3Tvnzxufxi_a4IQxnU_Df1b7uexi7d9y94P74Kq3ACMmG0ZapUpapM3K3_HDXdngu67gw5jSs/s1600/Saturday+15th+January+2010+001.JPG"><br /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw1_YkOn7odNMPvfOdvG1CnGc3kJqnlhaKEXFYrC5zgwOoXaBr9vk6BC8rQOja7tE5gC_e8gShKM9U-aqp_A3YgfpbWNWPM-R6W1Wi8giHcTz9Ip4yvWS414QFp-uYIyHHwq7FKfqUz78/s1600/Saturday+15th+January+2010+001.JPG"><img style="float: left; margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 258px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgw1_YkOn7odNMPvfOdvG1CnGc3kJqnlhaKEXFYrC5zgwOoXaBr9vk6BC8rQOja7tE5gC_e8gShKM9U-aqp_A3YgfpbWNWPM-R6W1Wi8giHcTz9Ip4yvWS414QFp-uYIyHHwq7FKfqUz78/s320/Saturday+15th+January+2010+001.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5563857268021405730" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQU6Wgsr7rOr9HVhVLo5vsByXoKT58qdKHQG9kBvWZ9WQb4UTQ08qXCyWjMIUFBGeoH1F3yQ7L80ZS_WPZ99TmoRVIGmoEDpblflkpsTfxB46_Cj_hieuMyn9TUKyKhq7xSpr1_X2z0y0/s1600/Saturday+15th+January+2010+003.JPG"><img style="float: right; margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; cursor: pointer; width: 259px; height: 194px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQU6Wgsr7rOr9HVhVLo5vsByXoKT58qdKHQG9kBvWZ9WQb4UTQ08qXCyWjMIUFBGeoH1F3yQ7L80ZS_WPZ99TmoRVIGmoEDpblflkpsTfxB46_Cj_hieuMyn9TUKyKhq7xSpr1_X2z0y0/s320/Saturday+15th+January+2010+003.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5563856574371680386" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />I did this canvas for my friends at work, the photo was taken at out work christmas party. I used Kaiser "Grunge" paper, which I have had in my stash for quite some time, and sponged it using sequin negatives, to give a grungy look. Metal embellishments are used, and I painted corrugated squares (both cut and torn), to create more masculine embellishements. The title (a bit hard to read) is "the shirt tells the story"<br /><br />Hope you like it.<br /><br />Next was a challenge for Scrapsidaisy by Jules. It was to created a LO with circles of some form, 5 buttons and to use green somewhere on the page.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBwGQwf8RyMqq0UOXRjxY2Lv-xz1rmMq669ctBC4OOR92CzFilm1pTX_IzM-JOpqU2rS8VxSrJLyt-JvNSXQ3sK1BgXXQwLAMBATJWOgxbHbDO3NApBwF3-laAo8VbDh20hAVKGsgKZZI/s1600/Scrapsidaisy.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 315px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBwGQwf8RyMqq0UOXRjxY2Lv-xz1rmMq669ctBC4OOR92CzFilm1pTX_IzM-JOpqU2rS8VxSrJLyt-JvNSXQ3sK1BgXXQwLAMBATJWOgxbHbDO3NApBwF3-laAo8VbDh20hAVKGsgKZZI/s320/Scrapsidaisy.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5556808556850516162" border="0" /></a><br />I received a beautiful little pack of cardstock, this doily and other bits and bobs for a Secret Santa and thought they fitted with this challenge very well.<br /><br /><br />Whats next for me....Well....I have decided to do a twist on Becky Higgin's Project Life in 2011, where she has challenged to take a photo a day for a year to create a journal of her life....For me that is totally unrealistic for a couple of reasons<br /><br />1. My Monday to Friday is very very repetative<br />2. I will no doubt forget a day or two then go "oh well maybe next year"<br /><br />So after thinking about it for a while I have decided to challenge myself in a different way.<br /><br />To take two photos every Saturday from Tomorrow (1st January), one in the morning and one in the afternoon, I will then create an album called<br /><br /><span style="font-size:180%;"><span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153); font-family: lucida grande; font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">"" 52 Saturday's make 1 year"</span></span><br /><br />I have chosen Saturday as the year starts and ends on Saturday. Also we have sport, car activities, family days, and most of all Scrapping on Saturday. I am really looking forward to doing this, and maybe I just might inspire some of you out there to do the same.<br /><br />Anyway, as it is NYE, I had better go see what the boys are up too. I am loving life....I love my family....I love my friends.....I love my Job.....<br /><br />I have been real amiss about updating this blog, but thought I may wrap up my weight loss journey, and try doing a bit of a scrap-booking blog. What do you all think????<br /><br />As far as my weight loss is concerned. I went to the GP today who was very very impressed, and said I had hit the Ton......wow!!!!. I am off blood pressure tablets full time now too. I have greatly reduced my risk of heart attack, stroke, diabetes, and a myriad of other issues. If I don't loose any more I wont be upset, as I have regained goodness know how many years of my life. But if I do loose more that is a bonus.<br /><br />So from here on in....( will still keep you up to date of "interesting changes"), I will share some of my scrapping with you all. Whether it be lay-outs, off the pages, or other challenges. I will share <span style="font-style: italic;">some</span> (lol) of my secrets, and who knows what else. <br /><br />Feel free to leave comments, ideas and suggestions.<br /><br />TTFN<br />Love to all<br /><br /><span style="color: rgb(153, 51, 153); font-family: georgia; font-weight: bold;font-size:180%;" ><span style="font-style: italic;">Kimmi</span></span><br /><span style="color: rgb(255, 153, 255); font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Life is a journey</span>Kimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-82736820906325843762010-01-02T20:51:00.003+11:002010-01-02T21:07:50.967+11:00More photos<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinfxsddpAsCNiKBYtK6pTXolJQgoDZO82SWgPiDyvhvNH0umWvoMnCfmMG5WsKfS2NfkZDEtT6gIDXm3pmVr3n8m08kTtdzvVePN4F9BGhv8YNTvtA6lV5SWJZkbBaMjHPas0tIqLcXEA/s1600-h/DSCF4823.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinfxsddpAsCNiKBYtK6pTXolJQgoDZO82SWgPiDyvhvNH0umWvoMnCfmMG5WsKfS2NfkZDEtT6gIDXm3pmVr3n8m08kTtdzvVePN4F9BGhv8YNTvtA6lV5SWJZkbBaMjHPas0tIqLcXEA/s320/DSCF4823.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422081332484718290" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6PiHBSNm0dwKxmAQsEOlOGWBmt8nVBuFC_O-zmrpwqf5Mdn8uPyzL6RbU_0Cdnnpp8mpShBDXtwU-d20k5Yc8WhaNhNEVGoizALKj-qVF5Ye1ywMyAsdFjwdCHamzoWPuzlSiV-lDVIw/s1600-h/DSCF4687.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi6PiHBSNm0dwKxmAQsEOlOGWBmt8nVBuFC_O-zmrpwqf5Mdn8uPyzL6RbU_0Cdnnpp8mpShBDXtwU-d20k5Yc8WhaNhNEVGoizALKj-qVF5Ye1ywMyAsdFjwdCHamzoWPuzlSiV-lDVIw/s320/DSCF4687.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422081321569065858" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Just a couple of more photos, both were taken away on holidays in Nth Queensland.Kimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-8208217032074682772010-01-02T20:24:00.003+11:002010-01-02T20:51:33.066+11:00Happy New Year<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9HjlW1xakKY_wOgSnk6nbBKjbomszYaZGbiSp6sTL2MgacQSW-h7r1ASWlfvBiq8ALrGl0YQWhX0EUezI4clpa1eDvvfFn__T5pLmmGXAIuCppfcniC-8XGLejRHw5-J-OMtjFFr3ntg/s1600-h/DSCF4780.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9HjlW1xakKY_wOgSnk6nbBKjbomszYaZGbiSp6sTL2MgacQSW-h7r1ASWlfvBiq8ALrGl0YQWhX0EUezI4clpa1eDvvfFn__T5pLmmGXAIuCppfcniC-8XGLejRHw5-J-OMtjFFr3ntg/s320/DSCF4780.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5422074043674887042" border="0" /></a><br />Hi Everyone, Lets try this again, I just finished a large blog entry and the computer shut down on me, so I will do a quick abbreviated version.<br /><br />Firstly, I can't believe it has been nearly two months since my last entry. Life has been real busy. I passed Christmas without putting on any weight, and I think I managed my portions quite well.<br /><br />My last adjustment was in the first week of December, and I think it will be another two weeks before I can get in to get my next one done so I will have to be extra careful.<br /><br />I have stepped up my exercise routines, and I am enjoying exercising. ...Yes you did hear me correctly, I am enjoying it.<br /><br />I now do 30-45 minutes on the Wii Fit, plus a 15-30 minute cardio workout on another Wii Game, (gotta love the Wii, I can exercise without anyone laughing at my flabby bits). I also tend to walk a lot more instead of drive, when shopping now, I park at one end of shopping area, and walk everywhere I have to go rather than getting in and out of the car 4-5 times. <br /><br />We recently went up to Nth Queensland to have christmas with Mum, Dennis, my brother and his family, and we visited Mamu Canopy Walk. I was proud of myself, as I walked all the way without having to stop, in 40+ deg heat, (only about 3kms, but that included climbing to the top of the observation tower, probably about 150 stairs). <br /><br />As far as weight loss itself goes i am now down to 119kg - that is down 18.5kg on my weight at the dietian the week before surgery or 29kg from my heaviest back in February 09. I can now comfortably wear size 22 clothes, and I bought size 20 exercise shorts and shirt two days ago, which fit, but will fit even better in a couple of weeks.<br /><br />It is really in my measurements that I have noticed the difference<br /><br /> <table style="border-collapse: collapse; width: 340pt;" width="453" border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><col style="width: 52pt;" width="69"> <col style="width: 48pt;" width="64" span="6"> <tbody><tr style="height: 15.75pt;" height="21"> <td class="xl72" style="height: 15.75pt; width: 52pt;" width="69" height="21"> date</td> <td class="xl73" style="border-left: medium none; width: 48pt;" width="64"> weight</td> <td class="xl73" style="border-left: medium none; width: 48pt;" width="64"> waist</td> <td class="xl73" style="border-left: medium none; width: 48pt;" width="64"> hips</td> <td class="xl73" style="border-left: medium none; width: 48pt;" width="64"> bust</td> <td class="xl73" style="border-left: medium none; width: 48pt;" width="64"> arm</td> <td class="xl74" style="border-left: medium none; width: 48pt;" width="64"> thigh</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl69" style="height: 15pt;" align="right" height="20">25-Aug-09</td> <td class="xl70" style="border-left: medium none;" align="right">137.5</td> <td class="xl70" style="border-left: medium none;" align="right">121</td> <td class="xl70" style="border-left: medium none;" align="right">160</td> <td class="xl70" style="border-left: medium none;" align="right">124</td> <td class="xl70" style="border-left: medium none;" align="right">50</td> <td class="xl71" style="border-left: medium none;" align="right">82</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl64" style="border-top: medium none; height: 15pt;" align="right" height="20">11-Sep-09</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">130.5</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">118</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">153</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">121</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">50</td> <td class="xl65" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">77</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl64" style="border-top: medium none; height: 15pt;" align="right" height="20">15-Oct-09</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">125.4</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">115</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">150</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">119</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">49</td> <td class="xl65" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">76</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15pt;" height="20"> <td class="xl64" style="border-top: medium none; height: 15pt;" align="right" height="20">8-Nov-09</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">125</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">111</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">147</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">117</td> <td class="xl63" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">48</td> <td class="xl65" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">76</td> </tr> <tr style="height: 15.75pt;" height="21"> <td class="xl66" style="border-top: medium none; height: 15.75pt;" align="right" height="21">2-Jan-09</td> <td class="xl67" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">119</td> <td class="xl67" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">110</td> <td class="xl67" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">142</td> <td class="xl67" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">117</td> <td class="xl67" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">48</td> <td class="xl68" style="border-top: medium none; border-left: medium none;" align="right">73</td> </tr> </tbody></table><br />So I have reached my first minor goal (get to 120kg), and I can see my next (get to 100kg) is in reach. I know it is going to be a slow process but any progress is better than the options I had before. My major Goal of my boobs being bigger than my hips....well.....I don't think there is going to be much luck in winning that one, as I am loosing it there too.......typical......lol.<br /><br />Ok I am going to chase up another couple of photos, so will close off now,<br /><br />TTFN everyone,<br /><br />Lots of love<br />KimmyKimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-74839540073199064302009-11-08T15:36:00.002+11:002009-11-08T15:48:01.449+11:00Well, everyone, It is now November. Boy is the time going fast.<br /><br />I went back two weeks ago for my second adjustment, but because of the amount of weight loss I had had until that time, they refused to do the adjustment, they wanted me to slow down....now that is a turn up for the books, I have never been told to slow down before....lol.<br /><br />But just my luck, that was also the day that I plateaued. I finally got back in week for an adjustment, so here goes for more weight loss. Still 125kg, but i think I have trimed again, let me see, it will do some measurements.<br /><br />Waist 111cm down another 4cm <br />Hips 147 cm down another 3cm Cool<br />thigh 76cm the same<br />Upper arm 48cm down 1cm<br />Bust 117cm down another 2 cm Oh NOOO!!!! cant I stop loosing it there!!!!!!!<br /><br />I find I can eat anything, which I think is a bit dangerous, as I am finding temptation very hard, but I will persist. DH and DS's bought me a Wii for my birthday, so I am now getting on that for about 40minutes a day doing the Wii Fit exercises, so maybe my non weight loss is the muscle I am building.....<br /><br />I will have to look at some of the photos taken yesterday at bowling for DS13 birthday with some of his friends. and if there is a half decent one of me I will put it up, Everyone at work says they can notice the difference in my face. When I put one up let me know what you think.<br /><br />hugs to everyone<br /><br />KimmyKimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-78762039258427826442009-10-15T09:35:00.003+11:002009-10-15T09:56:37.650+11:00<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY9nkACBGrKZzt0IeSnuKEQcg4YBhQt3bxJtbE6f0TVAzFqaNFfQPe7siwSDDCmzuxSMoHkJuJMOSpUn2qFBeOl7D7xQT59FCfehKJAK_Mjdgg2gD6K_Mz3NDCmzRhkrW0G61WYPxc02Q/s1600-h/healthbase_adjustable_gastric_band_illustration.gif"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 136px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiY9nkACBGrKZzt0IeSnuKEQcg4YBhQt3bxJtbE6f0TVAzFqaNFfQPe7siwSDDCmzuxSMoHkJuJMOSpUn2qFBeOl7D7xQT59FCfehKJAK_Mjdgg2gD6K_Mz3NDCmzRhkrW0G61WYPxc02Q/s200/healthbase_adjustable_gastric_band_illustration.gif" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392590064866549346" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs_ZnHajvKaFQiynMawWHZNegKn6up93FimISL0l4_Mx2uBVW9BQIjCGN-LKj6Vd1Ln-1JojSbq3JuqMTuxQGxO5n2WHZdWWxf_qBrmVlQ-RDmLVJNticrWeselaEun8A_lxcYmOTH39I/s1600-h/gastricband.gif"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 200px; height: 151px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjs_ZnHajvKaFQiynMawWHZNegKn6up93FimISL0l4_Mx2uBVW9BQIjCGN-LKj6Vd1Ln-1JojSbq3JuqMTuxQGxO5n2WHZdWWxf_qBrmVlQ-RDmLVJNticrWeselaEun8A_lxcYmOTH39I/s200/gastricband.gif" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5392590054932950530" border="0" /></a><br />Hi all,<br />Once again way too long between updates, I am sorry, but been busy with work, the family and everything else. we have also all had some stomach bug going round.<br /><br /><br />I have had one extremely bad experience since the band was inserted. But I did overcome it. I had eaten chicken breast, and even though chewed it well etc, it must have created gas, because I got some really bad stomach cramps, at first I did not know what it was, I was just doubled over in pain for a couple of hours, I finally took some medication which obviously relaxed the muscles and boy did I ever burp and f&$t. After another 30 minutes the cramps were gone. So I think I will stay away from chicken breast for a while. Thighs don't seem to have the same effect. Strange....<br /><br />Otherwise, I have had the first adjustment, which went well. They put 2.5 ml of saline into the band, and has certainly made me fell fuller when eating....It takes longer for the food to get down out of the top pouch.<br /><br />I have added a couple of pictures that show where the band sits in the stomach, I think they are pretty self explanatory, but feel free to ask questions about them.<br /><br />So here is a quick update on my weight etc.<br /><br />I am today 125.4 kg. Wow!!!! I am in the 120's Yeah.... a 12+kg loss so far<br /><br />My measurements are now<br /><br />Waist 115cm down 6cm Not too bad<br />Hips 150cm down 10cm Cool<br />thigh 76cm down 6 cm I can handle that<br />Upper arm 49cm down 1cm dissappointing<br />Bust 119cm down 5 cm Bumma!!!! The only place I didn't want to loose. Oh well.<br /><br />I am now also going with the boys to thier cross country on Wednesday nights, and walking the 3km course... Last week I actually tried to run part of it LOL. Actually it was more of a Cliff Young Shuffle, but better than nothing.....AJ came up behind me and called out "Go mum, your doing great" I felt really good, until he told me that My Ass will loose weight quicker that the rest of me because it was bouncing 3 time more than the steps I was taking.....ROFLOL....I could not take offence, he said it so innocently..... With this, I have now promised myself to be able to run the whole 3km course without stopping within the next 12 months. We will see how I go.....<br /><br />Hugs to all<br />TTFN<br /><br />KimmyKimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-71313218503250292112009-09-23T19:59:00.003+10:002009-09-23T20:14:47.850+10:00<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGCc2yJAOE1n9IG1tZDiTs7jEOnHo-uV_0NiXPgZR9-8jxyW2rYEm1kwvIyYYoebMJwJT3ZF3pTIHeA-Gm7Vpf88hH15-j6LWdG6rQji5truo-7MjDjTMggkL-DzhWJP8FZCl9A_rrd0U/s1600-h/2009+Drags+Sept+Nitro+Champs+190.JPG"><img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; float: left; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGCc2yJAOE1n9IG1tZDiTs7jEOnHo-uV_0NiXPgZR9-8jxyW2rYEm1kwvIyYYoebMJwJT3ZF3pTIHeA-Gm7Vpf88hH15-j6LWdG6rQji5truo-7MjDjTMggkL-DzhWJP8FZCl9A_rrd0U/s320/2009+Drags+Sept+Nitro+Champs+190.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5384603057263696786" border="0" /></a><br />Hi all,<br />Well, I am starting to feel a bit better again, now. I had a bit of trouble last week, managing busy nightshifts, and getting enough food intake to keep my energy levels up, but I think I have that worked out now. I am taking an orange juice with me to work now, and If I get too busy I drink that instead of water, that way, when I don't have the time to sit down and eat (because it take so long to eat such a small amount), I am still getting that bit of a energy boost.<br /><br />Tonight I had my first experience of feeling blocked. We had some chicken and rice, and I think I may have forgotten to chew the rice up. I did not get to the regurgitation stage, but it did take a few minutes for this unpleasant indigestion type pain to subside. But all was good once it moved through.<br /><br />I have now lost 10 kg since the day of my surgery. I am really happy with that. Everyone is starting to notice my weight loss. I have also pulled out a smaller size of trousers for work, and they feel comfortable. Woo Hoo. <br /><br />I have started having cravings for chocolate too. but hopefully that will subside, I am going to resist. I had a small glass of pepsi max, on the weekend, and boy I did enjoy that, even though I let it go flat before I drank it. (the gas bubbles tend to get caught in the stomach and it can get very uncomfortable (so I am told). <br /><br />I head back in to the Dr's after the long weekend, and get my first adjustment to the band. Apparently they will put about 2.5mls of fluid in it, then followed by another 2 mls a fortnight later, apparently that is when I will really be at the stage to loose weight. I am hoping not to loose it too quickly, but will also take what I can get. IYKWIM.<br /><br />Till later, Have to get ready for work.<br /><br />Take care everyone,<br /><br />Lots of Love and TTFN<br /><br />KimmyKimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-52194612710209379212009-09-11T18:52:00.003+10:002009-09-11T19:00:30.792+10:00Feeling GoodIt has been a while since I posted up here.<br /><br />I am feeling quite good now. I am still eating puree foods, but it is going down very well. Touch wood, I have not had an regurgitation experiences as yet, so I must be eating slow enough and have the food fine enough. Off to the dietitian again on Monday, so hopefully next week she will put me onto normal foods.<br /><br />I joined the cross country club, that my boys run with on Wednesday nights, they have a walking category, so I walked in that...not for the competition, but for the extra exercise. I walked 3km through the bush, came in last, but never mind, that will get better. Even the 7km runners beat me. Oh well....how embarrassing, but I will go back next week, unless they tell me to go away...lol.<br /><br />I have not weighed myself for a week, but there isn't much weight loss now, but I certainly have trimmed up.<br /><br />My measurements have changed quite a lot<br /><br />Waist = 118cm -3cm<br />Hips = 153cm -7cm<br />Thighs = 77cm -5cm<br />upper arm = 50cm - 0cm<br />Bust 121 -3cm<br /><br />so a total of 18cm. Got to be happy with that.<br /><br />DH says he can notice it a lot in my face, my hands and my hips.<br /><br />Will let you all know what the dietitian says on Monday.<br /><br />Until Later<br />TTFN<br />KimKimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3591707280371167092.post-19759422629936858822009-09-02T08:20:00.005+10:002009-09-02T08:31:12.661+10:00Well it is 1 week since I had the lapband inserted. Things are looking positive. I can now have small amounts of runny pureed food. I had some mashed potato and cooked apple. Both were so yummy. Although about 1 desertspoon full totally filled me up, it was so nice to have something with a bit of texture about it. <br /><br />I am thinking of doing a slowcooker stew for dinner tonight, as all the flavours go through everything, and I can then puree it without ruining the taste to much. Ummm that has got my mouth watering, I had better go and pull out the recipe cards from the last swap at H&S. <br /><br />I had lost over 7kg when I went to the dietitian on Monday. Probably a bit quick. But I am not going to complain. I can already notice a difference around my face. The abdomen is not so sore now either, only when I cough or laugh. <br /><br />I am also taking part in a study, that is being done with post lapband patients, on the importance of protein for weight loss. There has never been a proper study done on this. So I am off for my first interview with that next Monday, and I will be having some bone density testing done too (all at their expense....wish they would have paid for the lapband too hehe). <br /><br />Better go, I have some scrapping calling me (I have selective hearing I think, because I am sure the house work is calling in there somewhere too).<br /><br />Please feel free to share my story with others, because I would love to help other people that are struggling with the idea of whether to go through this or not. <br /><br />KimmyKimmihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17994031525405532795noreply@blogger.com1
